It was weigh in day again today with a second set of immunisation jabs thrown in for good measure and after a mini Indian summer at the weekend, well a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon if I’m being totally honest, it’s been quite an eventful time. Doglet is recognised as a member of the family now with more time being devoted to observing this peculiar creature; attention which is somewhat mutual if also somewhat over exuberant in return! Doglet does have somewhat of a penchant for licking anything she can get her tongue to in a slightly “Donkey from Shrek” kinda way. Continue reading

Mummy in love
It’s a week again, since I last put anything up. Well, the last week has been a little interrupted since I got one of the seasonal bugs going around last week and was off work on Thursday and Friday. I was back on Monday, but got told to go home again as I was making the place look unhealthy. Best of friends
It’s been over a week and a half since I’ve had enough time to draw breath and put some words down on paper. We’ve been to the botanics and the museum, been on transatlantic live broadcast and gone to our first party, all since the last post. Wow.
So, let’s kick off with a picture of a 7lb 13oz bundle of love having a friendly moment with Mia. We have been really pleased how Mia has taken to Marcail, none of the jealousy that we were concerned might happen has come to pass at all. Doglet has taken it all in her stride and shows real care and concern for Marcail. Today when she came back from the park with Debs, hyper, she ran straight over to the moses basket to say “Hi!” and have a sniff. Bless.
I forgot to say the other week, well last week in fact, that Marcail had been to see the health visitor up at the surgery and had been weighed. She came in at a rather pleasing 7lbs 6oz, which put her well ahead of her birth weight of 6lbs 13oz. Well, mother and daughter were up there again today for another weight in and check up.
