This is the start of a new chapter in the Doglet Diaries. Quite unexpectedly, the family is moving to the other side of the planet, from where we’ve called home till now, to set up anew.Continue reading

Dust mask and gloves
Well, an evening with the (virtual) PPE, and the diaries are crawling, ever so slowly, into the 20th century. I’ve stayed to get my head around responsive themes, page building plugins and the new generation of widgets. All I need now is something to talk about.
Actually, a lot of it is about getting into a position to help Mrs B set up a business site. Having spent longer than is good for anybody’s state of mind looking for a job, she has decided to take things into her own hands. Keep a lookout if you need help with sorting out your business approach and processes wrt expert.
Another year and a bit on…
Guess what. I was upgrading php again. Really must make more of an effort in here.
How long has it been?
How long has it been? Quite a while, I don’t really want to think about it. Suffice to say, I ended up here ‘cos I was updating the PHP version on my hosting and thought ‘Ooh, better check WordPress is still happy.’ There are cobwebs everywhere, I could really do with a dustmask.
Sorry, I can’t face the stour. I’ll have to work up to cleaning up and decorating in here.
Holy smoke
“Mark! Mark! Quick, come here! Help!” Now that could mean lots of things, but it did seem that something was seriously wrong. Turned out it was. Debs had been working on the PC for a few minutes when it shut down, then tried to restart whilie the case filled with acrid smoke.
8 cockles, 5 miles, 1 skinned knee & 1 mugging.
Walked round the coast to the Padstow ferry today. The land is part of the National Trust estate and just beautiful. The beach at Damar (?) has gently sloping golden sand and is sheltered from the main waves. That’s tomorrow’s prime objective.

Eden
Went to the Eden Project today. Absolutely superb for kids and their big kid chauffeurs alike. It’s so nice to go somewhere that, yes, is s business running to make a living, but which feels like it is backed with integrity. The cafeteria was reasonably priced for value and the food was excellent. Prepared in-house, delicious and healthy. Such a contrast to the overpriced junk prevalent at places like Legoland.

Capri !Pants
Anything but in fact. I can see why it’s been so popular with everyone from Roman emperors to the modern day elite. The jet boat crossing wasn’t the warmest or driest, and some people seemed to cope with the climatic conditions better than others!
Once we got there though the weather picked up, in fact it was just as we got there really that it did. Maybe that could be something to do with coming to land from being out in the open sea. Well, maybe.Continue reading
Crapolla
Once we saw this place on the map we just had to know more, and had to go. It’s a beautiful narrow inlet at the base of a steep, steep, headland on the south coast of the Amalfi peninsula. The headline is there are 600+ steps down
into it, and of course, back up when you’re done. Look at the google aerial photo and you can see them zig-zagging down the headland.
