Last night, well the small hours of this morning really, Marcail made her first noise that wasn’t simply a cry.
She was in her bed and made a little gurgly baby type noise. It’s a tiny thing, I know, but it’s another little step forward. She is getting the hang of feeding, and of demanding to be fed! We had the first sign of frustration tears this afternoon when she couldn’t get latched on quickly enough.
I continue to be just blown away by how much she changes in such a short period of time. Our friend, Shona, was saying today how much she was looking forward to meeting Marcail and how glad she was that the birth was early so she can see her before they go on holiday. If things had gone to plan Marcail would have been a couple of weeks old by the time they met and Shona really wanted to see her younger than that. Now I can understand why, babies really do transform so much in such a short space of time.
