So, I mentioned that Marcail had been quite taken with her exersaucer in Calgary. Well, she was really quite taken with it. So much so in fact that we really thought we should get her one now that we are home. Sunday just past, then, we made a trip back to Edinburgh for DIY, food and to go to Mothercare who had the one we wanted in stock. There aren’t that many of them to choose from but this one seemed, to us anyway, to be the pick of the crop.
First things first though, with a brightly coloured piece of far eastern plastic to grab her attention she was all eyes. In fact, so keen to grab a piece of the action that she got straight in there with her first freestyle stand.
Look, no parent’s hands! Despite being reasonably long limbed, the seat is still too high for her at the moment, but with a pillow to stand on she was in and off.
There are many important things to do in mission control. There’s the flower, the clicky bee type thing and of course the frog to keep under control. Mister Frog is, in fact, a bit of a trouble maker with his rattle tattle bobbly balls that go spinnity spinnity spin when you squish his head. There’s a shiny thing too, with some strange dude that keeps looking back. Not been trained up on that one fully yet so best leave it for the moment. It wouldn’t do to get it wrong. It’s really not childs play, if you want to do this job then you have to take it seriously and give it your full concentration. There’s multi-tasking too, so a good job we have a daughter and not a slack brained male. No half measures here …
