Another checkup with the health worker today and another clean bill of health. Marcail is now officially 8lbs and 8oz, or 3.85kg if you’re European. She’s also now 0.778 of an arms-length in length and has a head circumference of 0.2 Swiss klafters, which of course is only 0.1898 Austrian klafters due to the historical differences between the two countries averages for the definition of the klafter.
Both weight and girth of noggin are below the 9th percentile with her length putting her around the 25th percentile. So there we go, my assertion at the time that the midwife shouldn’t be pulling so hard for fear of stretching her was entirely correct. Not sure about the small noggin though, must get that one from her mum. I don’t remember anyone telling me I have a small head. Although, incidentally I do. No really, I wear a size 7 hat. Mrs. B says that’s because it’s all pointy at the top. Not sure about that one!
In case you’re still wondering, and haven’t been able to make the conversions, she is 54.5cm (1′ 9.5″) long and has a head circumference of 36cm (1′ 2.2″).
