Not the midge nets in this instance, though they are just great – give that man / woman a nobel prize for services to the outdoor minded, forthwith. What’s even better is you can drink beer through them, though it does leave a bit of a residue which smells like a pub carpet in the morning, or so I’m told…
It feels a bit like I never see my darlings at the moment. It’s been so busy, what with general load at work, moving the company to new premises and trying to book a mortgage. When I am at home it feels like I’m in the ‘office’ most of the time either on the computer or the phone (for sake of guaranteed quiet!).
Marcail is developing so fast at the moment. I was luck tonight and got home quite sharp due to the work day finishing closer to home than the office is and she was still all awake, alert and happy. She was sat up on my lap checkin’ it out and blethering away. And man, is she ever a goober gobber factory at the moment. I thought Doglet was bad when she’d been licking feet, but at least she keeps it to a little foam beard. Not so our darling daughter. Gather it up, swirl it around then just gently push it all out the hole in the front. No!!! It’s supposed to go down the chute at the back. Oh well, where’s that muslin…
We got a step closer on the mortgage tonight though. Apparently we have been fully approved so provided the paperwork we provide agrees with our income statements given over the phone and provided the valuation by their surveyor matches the one we had done (fingers crossed), then we’re off to the races.
