We had growth scans at 28 and 32 weeks with the result that the head circumference was somewhere just about the 50th percentile on both occasions, but the abdominal measurement was above at 28 weeks and below at 32 weeks. As a result we were asked to go back today for a further scan, carried out by the obstrician, to make sure that the baby wasn’t suffering from some inhibition in growth.So, we saw Dr. Rani again today and she re-measured junior. The excellent news is that the head circumference, abdominal circumference and femur length are all just above the 50th percentile, so we have a clean bill of health.
It was great to see the little critter again. We didn’t get a print out, but Dr. Rani did stop at one point and say “Look at it’s face” to which I thought, “Oh lordy, I hope she’s kidding!” But no, with the guidance of an expert tutor the open mouth, snub nose and eyes lept out of the screen. Really they did. It was another of those kind of awesome WOW! moments. So we’re both really happy and it seems that everything is on track again.
