Nesting? Not, we’re working on finishing off the last few remaining bits of DIY in the house so we can get it listed. We just finished stripping 50 years of paint from six doors and frames and now they’re getting a nice clean coat of fresh paint. Looking much better and like new. Hope to get a decorator in to finish off the front hall and kitchen…probably a week’s worth of full-time work.
Have had our eye on a beautiful Victorian cottage in Falkirk since early December, a wonderful family home that could use a bit of a face lift inside, but not a complete overhaul. Wonder which will be baby’s first home?
Starting to baby proof doglet…purchased a little baby blanket yesterday and we’re placing it around the house and training her to avoid walking and laying on it, making it her play toy so that hopefully by the time the Little One comes home Doglet will know that it is an off limit zone. Our friend, Mary Ann, mentioned dog/baby training to us at Christmas time and we looked up some of the early things are can do to try to have her become more familiar with having a new life around 24/7. So, new rules and regulations are being strictly adhered to in the Begbie household…poor doglet doesn’t know what’s come over us!
Feeling fab. Apart from a strained lower back, have lot’s of energy and feeling generally well. The Little One is really moving around now and Papa even felt a few good kicks the other night. Been thinking about whether females have primordial memory because the sensation of having a baby move around a womb feels very natural and expected.
